YOGA STYLES


At Sol we are proud to have an array of dedicated, qualified, remarkable teachers. Who all offer their own creativity, energy and love into their offerings. We are sure that you will find the class and teacher that you will align with and love here. All of our teaches are able to offer variations to cater for yogis of all levels, so feel free to begin your journey with the class that is calling you the most.

 

Traditional Hatha Yoga

A lineage-based Sarvanga Sādhanā (complete practice) of Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. Be guided to move the body slowly and powerfully through deeply intentional sequences, cultivating supreme energetic conditions that lead to a meditative state of being. Based on the Sun, Moon, Fire philosophy this will alchemise within the body states of calm and radiance, as postures are categorised and practiced according to their energetic impact and orientation of the spine.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa - linking breathe to movement, our fire building practice. Experiencing postures, building heat in the body, strengthening the muscles and spine, moving to release and open to prepare to be in meditation with complete stillness. This practice can be tailored to all levels.

Yin Yoga

This class is a traditional yin yoga practice. You will find yourself in grounded long-held postures, often seated, for 3-5 minutes. An intentional and calming practice that will help you cultivate more awareness and a deeper connection to yourself. Slow moving, deep releasing, calming.

Pilates

Our Sol Pilates practice is the traditional mat Pilates format with yoga and mindfulness practices throughout. An upbeat class that focuses on alignment, balance, strength, and even rhythm. You will flow, tone, build strength, and groove. Sol Pilates adds a bit of heat and energy to our timetable with upbeat routines. Try our Pilates & yin combo for a beautiful deep release and relaxation after the power of Pilates.

Kundalini

This special practice involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses. Its purpose is to activate your Kundalini energy. Our 60 minute practice in Kundalini, is specifically focused on sharing accessible classes for all levels, even if you've never practiced Kundalini yoga before. This is a great class to drop into if you feel ready to try kundalini or continue your practice.

Heated Vin-Yin

Your much loved vin-yin practice but with the benefit of soaking up the far infrared heaters, the benefits of adding heat to the first half of our practice can include: increased detoxification, pain relief, reduction of muscle tension, relaxation, improved circulation, weight loss, skin purification, lowered side effects of diabetes, boosting of the immune system and lowering of blood pressure, plus so much more!

Mens Yoga

A space for the men only. Guided by Mick Nolan with an emphasis on strong, healthy masculine energy, providing a space where men can come together, bond, and build emotional intelligence like never before.
